First games in Ovenstone

In the first two games in the Ovenstone Ian defeated Eric 9-4 and Sandy defeated Hamish 12-4. Ice was good and the recent developments in the Ice Rink look great.

Below should be a link to a league table that I will try to keep reasonably up to date.

Start of new season

Well, the new season starts in earnest on Tuesday night with what was supposed to be the full fleet of teams out for the first round of games in the Ovenstone, unfortunately however the 5.55pm start time, which is kind of early for most of us never mind those who are busy lifting tatties at this time of year, has meant one of the games has been re-arranged to a more suitable date. However, hopefully everyone else can mange and here's hoping for some good ice and an enjoyable start to the season.

A couple of reminders, the ice charges this season are £10 for adults and £5 for juniors and that the Club's subs for the season are the same as last year at £35 and payment of them to Duncan Stewart at the earliest opportunity would be most appreciated.

One other note that may be of interest is that there are a dozen Club tie's available for purchase at £10 each with all the money going into the Club's funds. See Sandy Reid if you are interested.

It is my aim to keep you updated with all the scores and news relevant to Evenie Water so if there are any pieces of information that you  think are worth mentioning (such as if Ian calls a hit at anything less than peel weight or if you witness Alan Arnot putting lemonade in his whisky!) just let me know and I shall post it on the Blog....!
